Afternoon Guild Rats,
Well its a new year… new possibilities and new opportunities.
I’m not one for the whole new year, new me philosophy but I feel this year applies in more ways.
- New Job
- New Ideas
- New Goals
- New Challenges
I realise that I’ve been away from blog for a while and that was to give myself time to reconsider what I’m writing for?
WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING??????
But it worked and now I know what I really want…
What’s that you ask?
Well to be a writer!
I spent some time thinking about what sort of writer I want to be (self published, traditional, short stories, journalist, etc) And I got my mind focussed.
I’m going traditional 😛
I’ve always wanted to be able to see my work among the shelves of a Waterstones, to be able to emulate some of my favourite authors and make a career about telling the ridiculous and bizarre stories that float about my head. To write stories that open up people minds to the possibilities, that astound imaginations and make us feel good.
Long story short… I want to make people happy through reading my stories 🙂
Yes now I hear you nay-sayers piping up… “But Marcus… The percentage of Writers who actually get to that level are 0.000000000000001% (or such exaggerations. I get it… Its a small percentage)
But what are dreams if not the collision of imagination and the stars.
They shoot across the sky. They don’t skim across the ground!
I’m not going to be satisfied until I’ve given it everything I’ve got!!!!
I’ve never been a big believer in faith… Never been religious or anything like that.
But in 2018 I’m going to find a little faith… A little faith in me. 🙂
This DOES however mean that the Self published schedule has been put on the back burner for now… I want to thank everybody whose believed in me and helped me along the way.
Please be patient!
With luck and some hard work, I’m hoping there should be a published version of Honour Among Thieves on shelves by the end of 2018!!!! And it will all be possible thanks to you!
I will still be writing a blog every Friday, and I will keep the submission process updated through there so please keep reading and get in touch if you want. I love talking books with people 🙂
Right this is starting to get Looooooooong so I’m going to wrap this up.
Until next time… Keep out of trouble (if you can)
