Friday Feature – #HonestUpdate – Take 2

Evening Guild Rats,

thVMPBQAOK

Ah Friday. With a weekend to look forward to Fridays feel so awesome!

Especially right now 😀

So with everything going on I was trying to think of a subject for this weeks Friday Feature. And then it came to me… With everything going on I’d give you a glimpse on what I’ve been doing since my last #honestupdate back in Nov.

So here’s some of the stuff I’ve been up to.

  1. Honour Among Thieves – Edits, re-writes, and finally proofreads .

The book is 85% ready. With my amazing editor we were able to fix a lot of the issues with the book. Fill in plot holes, smooth out the written language and now its getting a final proofread for those last pesky spelling errors. Release date of late Sept/early Oct is looking good!

2. Writing new manuscripts specifically for submission.

So the goal this year was to write three completely new manuscripts that would be targeted at Literary agents in 2019. With this I have split the year up and I am happy to say I have written 1 full manuscript and am about 75% through the second, therefore well on track to complete 3 by end of this year 🙂

3. Launching RWBY Dark Genesis podcast.

I love D&D. It’s a game that combines storytelling with epic adventures and friendship. I have been captivated over the last few years by the exploits of the cast of Geek and Sundry’s Critical Role ( go check it out if you haven’t on Youtube!) So me and my friends, we launched our own game, based in the world of popular Anime RWBY.
It was only officially launched this Tuesday, June 12th, but it’s been in the making since March and we are all very proud of it so far.

4. Quality Family Time!

Went camping for the first time in years and was the first time that my son had gone camping as well! The English weather tried its best to ruin it for us but we had a lot of fun and there was a lot of smiles to be had. Something so simple as spending and something you simply cannot put a price on!

5. New job

I moved jobs in the university. New role is much less stressed, though it still has it’s moments from time to time haha. However, nothing on the extent that I was dealing with before, leaving me with a better attitude to get writing and podcasts done and a clear mind to focus on family 😀

And that’s it really…

As we reach the halfway point of 2018, I can say so far its been a good year. Busy! but productive.

I’m excited for what the 2nd half has to offer.

Until next time… Keep out of trouble (if you can)
